“I had known Angie for years- she was the first fitness coach that I met when I moved to Portsmouth, and I loved taking her group exercise classes. Fast forward 15 years later, inspired by her posts on social media, I thought to myself… I think that she can help me. Not that I was a train-wreck or anything, but just that I was STUCK and pretty heavily stuck in my life. “Thank god for people like Angie. I am proud of who I have become through my journey with working with Angie. I was fighting for many years with depression and anxiety. I had a couple of traumatic things that had happened in the last nine years. My father passed away and my marriage was falling apart. I had hit rock bottom. I have been fighting this fight inside me. I have always been someone who has exercised regularly. I thought I knew it all. I didn’t.
I expected that I would learn some things about exercise and perhaps some things about nutrition. Did I expect to completely change my attitude towards food, stress, wellness? No. Did I expect to shed bad habits and attitudes? No.
Well that’s what happened. Plus, I had a lot of fun doing it. Angie is terrific to work with. Each week we explored new territory. My only regret is that I didn’t do this before.
